Tang Merit

In the years of the Daye era, Emperor Yang of Sui vigorously expanded construction projects and launched three campaigns against Goguryeo. The heavy corvée labor and taxes left the common people with barely any way to survive.

Forces from all sides rose up in rebellion, fighting over the enormous granaries and armories left behind by the Sui dynasty across the land.
