Empress of the Black Phoenix

She is a heaven-sent divine maiden, the eldest princess of the Shen Kingdom, but someone stole her divine fate and cast her into the Sacred River.

It is said she will not live past the age of coming-of-age.

She says: my fate is mine, not heaven’s; return the fortune you owe me, and pay back the life you owe me.

She has been a bandit, and she has been an empress, and in the end she steps onto the phoenix throne.

He says: in my heart, you are more important than Buddha; all the Buddhas in the sky are not as good as you.

She says: do not blaspheme Buddha.

He says again: do not keep a beauty hidden in a golden house, or whoever does so, I will kill them.

She smiles gently: I do not want to hide a beauty; I only want to hide you.
