The Red Mansion Heavenly Son

By Heaven's mandate, the emperor's edict declares: "Qingbai, the third son of Prince Zhongwu and a descendant of the emperor, is a natural genius. Among the emperor's grandchildren, he is the most cherished. Raised in the imperial palace and favored beyond the usual limits, he is diligent in governance and accomplished in both civil and military affairs, and will certainly be able to inherit the Great Unification.

Let him succeed to the throne and become emperor at once, following the established rites and observing mourning for twenty-seven days. Let this be made known throughout the realm."
