The Crown Prince’s Secret Accountant

"As of today, all titles of the sinner are stripped from him, and his daughter will live in the imperial palace as a low-ranking maid."

Aila Serdian, the young lady of the greatest count's house in the Stellon Empire, falls from grace overnight and is reduced to an imperial palace maid because of her father's embezzlement of state funds.

A man approaches her there: Theon Ermedi, the crown prince of the Stellon Empire.

"If you dare to eavesdrop on royal words again next time, I won't leave you intact."

The man who was cold from their very first meeting then says something unexpected.

"If you tell me to stop... then I won't go any further."

"..."

Before long, the distance between them becomes so close that if either of them moves even slightly, their lips will touch. The faint mint scent coming from him pricks at Aila's nose.

As Theon's breath, a little rougher than usual, brushes against her forehead, her whole body goes taut and she feels as if she can hardly breathe.

"I want you to look at me."

"..."

"If you dislike it, I'll stop."

While her reason tells her to stop, she cannot easily force the words out in response to his voice, as if he were taming her.

"I... don't dislike it."
