Once There Was a Town-Demon Pass

There was once such a pass.

There was once such a group of people.

This pass was stained with blood, inch by inch.

These people would not return unless they died.

Only so that, in the end amid mountains of corpses and seas of blood, when they turned back at the brink of death, they could see the lights of ten thousand homes flickering behind them, year after year, safe and sound.
