No Forgiveness, No Reconciliation: Miss Su Blossoms Alone

After six years together, Jiang Yihuai tells Su Yumian he wants to break up. Su Yumian does not argue or make a scene; she drags her suitcase and moves out decisively. His friends all join in the teasing: how long do you think Su Yumian can hold out this time? Because everyone in the capital knows she is hopelessly in love with Jiang Yihuai, so much so that she has no dignity or temper, and will definitely come crawling back within three days.

Yet three months pass... and she still has not returned. For the first time, the favored son of heaven lowers himself and says, "Su Yumian, how long are you going to keep making trouble? Enough is enough!"

Later... "Mianmian, I miss you."

Later still... "If I died, would you look at me even once?"

But on the other end, a man's faint laugh comes through: "Mr. Jiang, that pitiful act won't work. Save it."

"I want to speak to Su Yumian. Put her on the phone!"

"Sorry, my girlfriend is tired. She just fell asleep."

For many years after that, so many people came and went by her side, but there was never again a place that belonged to him.
