My Lord Count, I’ll Escape First

Alice barely makes a living as a detective.

A ship she happened to board was wrecked in the jungle!

And the famous Count Theodore Farhan, the Sword of the Empire, was there too? Along with his fiancée?

“Mm... that’s stressful. For now, I should stay away from the nobility.”

But why does Theodore Farhan keep trailing after her?

Like a huge dog begging her to play with him....

Are you having fun watching me struggle just to survive?

Please, go away already. I’m the one who should get out of this jungle first!

But... Theodore Farhan was truly a man who used the poor-big-dog strategy very well.

“Are we really going to travel separately? I’ll do everything you say, Alice, but you still won’t go with me?”

“......”

...In the end, she gave up on escaping “first.”

Then one day, Theodore Farhan pressed his lips to hers.

“Don’t think about anything else, Alice. Think only about me.”

The count, who had shamelessly made demands, one day....

“You want to call off the engagement? Why... why are you suddenly calling it off?”

“Things are different when there’s something I truly want.”

Why is her heart beating so wildly?

“I like you, Alice. Probably much more than you imagine.”

She had only been doing her best to survive in the jungle, so how did it end up like this?

And for “I like you, Alice.” to soon become “I’m obsessed with you, Alice.”

“I sometimes think that if I had never met Alice, I would have lived a terribly boring life.”

This was the limit... This is too much!

Count, is this all pure affection? Or do you have some sort of plan?

A snare tightening little by little, grasping hands reaching out—this isn’t that kind of thing, is it, Your Excellency?
