In This Life, I’m Marrying You

She has regressed to two years before her death.

After losing a war, Frederica was forced into a marriage she did not want, and was brutally killed after that marriage. In the Empire of Lumen, she was shot through the shoulder by an arrow as if hunted by her husband, Ernstine.

But then.

Had the "what if" come true?

"I came back. To Veden."

She has returned. Exactly two years earlier.

Right before her unhappy marriage to Crown Prince Ernstine Lumen.

"Never again. The same marriage, the same misery must never happen again."

Did a new resolve call forth a new path?

At the edge of the cliff, she meets a new candidate for husband.

The young and beautiful archmage Sayer, who stood on Veden's side in the war.

She enters a contract marriage with him as a way to escape.

She thinks their relationship will end with her building a tower for him, since he is interested in her as a research subject.

But then...

Sayer.

Did you love me?

"There was someone who worried about me in secret."

She learns who it was that regressed her.

Why they did it, and how they did it.

An emotion she has never felt before.

The desire to grow stronger,

The desire to love and be loved.

"I'll come save you."

"..."

"When you're in misery. I'll come save you."

An unspoken promise she makes without realizing it.

Along with the love that starts with the person she loves, and the affection of family and friends she newly feels, the whole world begins to change.

Can I tell you now?

That I'm used to your sleeping face now.

That I don't think you should leave.

And...

"I never thought I'd see you dying in a place like this... Ernstine Lumen."

I will take revenge for my past life and become the emperor.
