Avril is a standard Hufflepuff, because she is a kind, obedient, timid, soft, and adorable good girl.

If you dare to scold her, she’ll cry for you on the spot.

But she was raised by Tom.

When she clings to a teacher’s leg crying and asks, “Why don’t Dad and Mom love me?”

Tom: “The essence of lacking love is lacking power. What you should pursue is power, not love.”

When Avril gets cursed out by others and runs home crying,

Tom: “Why didn’t you hit them back?”

Avril: “But none of them can beat me. Wouldn’t that be bullying?”

Tom: “They’ve already bullied you into losing your brains. So what if you bully the weaklings back?”

When Avril says she hates it when people talk in circles,

Tom: “The essence of language is achieving your goal. Why care what the facts are, as long as you get the result you want?”

And that is how Avril was taught into the person described at the beginning.

The male lead of this story is Cedric, because at her core Avril is stubborn and only likes someone with Cedric’s gentle personality, someone who indulges her.
