Dream of the Red Chamber: Exquisite Chief Minister

[No system · Mind games · Political struggles · Daily life]

A page full of bitter tears, a book full of absurdity. You only see the private mansions, sons and daughters, each infatuated and spoiled; how could you know that the rise and fall of the world are all connected?

Will the fate of the Four Great Families be decided? Will the dynasty survive its internal troubles and external threats?

Will the path to enfeoffment and high office be abandoned? Will the dream of protecting the land and bringing peace to the people come true?

Originally a peasant’s son, he happens to ride the northern wind and dances his long sleeves while painting and writing, wandering amid wolves and jackals.

Bright moon shining on green pines, crystal flowers like dewdrops in a dream; how many aristocratic-house affairs have there been through the Six Dynasties, only to end in emptiness.

A boy’s best friend, a sworn companion in life and death, ultimately parts ways because of different identities and different ideals.

A dream of the Red Chamber, a dream within the Red Chamber; behind the vermilion gates and embroidered mansions lie endless sorrows.

No matter how many things there have been through the ages, in the end there is only idle talk drifting on and on.
