Crossing the Sui and Tang: Bringing the Luogangs to Serve Li Shimin

A university professor known as a human encyclopedia unexpectedly transmigrates into the chaotic late-Sui era, becoming thirteen-year-old Qin Shi.

His identity is the son of Qin Qiong’s younger cousin. That cousin died shielding Qin Qiong from an arrow, and before dying entrusted Qin Shi to him.

Qin Qiong then sent someone back to their hometown to bring Qin Shi over. The time is early 618 AD, which is the fourteenth year of Sui Daye and also the first year of Tang Wude.

In October of that year, after Li Mi and Yuwen Huaji’s battle at Liyang, Li Mi will be ambushed by Wang Shichong, leading to Qin Qiong and other Wagang generals being captured.

So from spring to summer of 618, Qin Shi keeps brainwashing Qin Qiong and the others.

“Uncle, Li Mi is stubborn and suspicious, not a wise ruler. He’ll probably fail before long. There’s no future following him, so let’s go to Guanzhong and side with Tang instead!”

After that, Qin Shi, who had originally been absent from history, followed Li Shimin through life-and-death battles and earned countless merits.

He appears among the 3,500 black-armored cavalry at Hulao Pass, and among the 800 death warriors at Xuanwu Gate.

He campaigns north and south, devising strategies.

Known as a human encyclopedia, Qin Shi has countless ingenious ideas from this era: horseshoes, curved-wood plows, movable type printing, gunpowder, cement, salt-making techniques, iron-smelting techniques…

Li Er said: “With Qin Shi, I can settle the realm!”

This novel’s background will try to follow real history as closely as possible, so readers can learn about that magnificent era while also seeing how the protagonist’s growth impacts history and changes society at the time.
