Qwanzhi Sui did not understand why Wei Shixu was beaten by people from other schools every day and always needed her to rush out to save him from danger. Later, she found out that those people were hired to do it.

Hired with Wei Shixu’s money.

"Let’s cut ties!" she said very seriously, drawing a clear line between them.

Wei Shixu laughed carelessly. "Sure. Then don’t come to me for tutoring either. Fail the exam and retake it, then be controlled by your scummy father and stepmother."

Qwanzhi Sui could only give in. "We’ll cooperate until the gaokao is over, but don’t keep making trouble for no reason."

Wei Shixu: "If you date me, I won’t make trouble."

Qwanzhi Sui: "I don’t do early dating."

...

After the gaokao, Qwanzhi Sui ran far away and blocked everyone’s contact information. She thought this would make him give up on her thoughts, since she had been ruthless enough.

But she heard that at the commendation ceremony, Wei Shixu tore up his admission letter.

A year later, a repeater student tracked her down at her university.
