Buddhism is the Way

The Heavenly Dao is ever-changing and heartless, embracing all things while remaining beyond them. Without good or evil, right or wrong, gratitude or resentment, joy or sorrow. The Way of Immortals is the Way, the Way of Demons is the Way, the Way of Monsters is the Way. Buddhism itself is the Way.

High above, on the ninth cloud, seated on a prayer mat, I understand the truth.

Beyond heaven and earth and the primal chaos, I alone am worthy to lead and be revered.

Pangu gave birth to the taiji, from which yin and yang and the four symbols followed. One Dao passed on to the Three Friends, the two teachings divided into Chan and Jie. The leaders of all the orthodox sects, I transform the three pure ones from one breath.
