Below the Upper City

The world, no one knows when, was split into two.

People in the Upper City are born under the sun, on vast land, warm and free.

People in the Lower City live in the dark and cramped underground, never seeing light all day long, where even breathing is deadly.

In a dim alley, a crazy old man, drinking cheap liquor, laughed wildly and howled up at the sky:

Noble lords of the Upper City! In your eyes, we people of the Lower City...
