A Concubine’s Son of a High House

I transmigrated into a dynasty called Dayu and became a famous young master of a high-ranking family in the capital, Sheng'an. My father is the Sheng'an magistrate, a third-rank official. My mother is from the Cui clan, one of the five great families of the capital, a distinguished noble house.

Their son is a dashing, dragon-and-phoenix-like youth prodigy who passed the provincial exam before age fifteen, and the families of the capital are all scrambling to marry their legitimate daughters to him. A dull life of wealth and glory stretches out before him.

That son is my younger brother. As for me, my only task now is not to get beaten to death by my father. My name is Song Shi'an. When will my illness of the heart ever be at peace?
