A Strange One

In the early days of the founding of the country, there was a famous warrior in Joseon. Some people described him as “manly,” “unrestrained,” and “fiery,” but most called him “dog-like.” The fact that he survived in a world of sword-wielding warriors while keeping that awful personality can only be explained in one way: he was strong. Very strong. In the end, after much deliberation, the king appointed him as the armed escort for an envoy mission to Ming. Rumors spread that an unnecessary envoy party had been assembled just to send him away, but the king said nothing. In any case, he left Joseon. That is where his story ends in Joseon.
